I grew up in Emporia, KS and am the youngest of three boys. Being the youngest by nature has made me a competitive person. Growing up I was always active and played multiple sports (football, baseball, wrestling and basketball). After a 12-year wrestling career I shifted my focus to just playing football. By my senior year I was a 3-year letterman and All-State running back. Since graduating in 2003 I have continued to stay athletic and compete in various sporting events. In 2008 I was the overall winner of the tri-fitness world challenge in Las Vegas. I began my training career in 2007 when I started training numerous executive clients, professionals and local youth athletes. Fast forward to 2017 and that’s when I opened Evolution Athletics. I’ve had the pleasure to work with several hundreds athletes including professional golfers, professional baseball players, college athletes, and local youth, middle, and high school athletes. In my free time you can usually find me outside spending time with my wife Katie and our two beautiful children Miles and Madelyn.
I have always been a self-driven hardworking individual. Growing up my dad showed us the value of hard work and what it would take to get to where you want to be. The first 10 years of my training career I worked as hard as I could to build a successful training career. When I decided I wanted to open up an athletic performance facility I had a colleague at the time tell that it would never work and that I was wasting my time. From that day on I would do what it would take to make sure that I would prove this person wrong. In 2017 I would rebrand myself and open up the doors to Evolution Athletics. EA is now going on 6+ years of business and it’s running better than I could ever have imagined. Thanks to all to people who continue to push me to be a better person and to all the athletes, parents, and coaches who have trusted us with your performance training.
My purpose for coaching is to serve the athletes. I want to leave a positive impact on every kid I get to coach. There are so many life skills that can be learned in the weight room and I want to be the coach to help them build those skills. I want these kids to remember me as the coach who helped them become a better individual.
